Job Purpose

The Data Analyst Associate plays a critical role in supporting ZDHC colleagues by leveraging PowerBi and other data analytics tools to deliver tailored dashboards, detailed reports, and actionable insights. S/he actively provides technical support, troubleshooting, and training on PowerBi and Excel to enhance data literacy and promote a data-driven culture. Additionally, the role involves close collaboration with the Competence Centres and cross-functional teams to understand their data needs, integrate insights into the ZDHC Guideline development, and assess the impact of these guidelines in terms of compatibility of data analysis. The ultimate goal is to empower ZDHC staff members, and the Competence Centres in particular, to make informed, data-driven decisions and create new ZDHC Guidelines and platform functionalities that gather data in a structured, standardised and compatible manner.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Data Analysis and Insights:

  • Design, develop, and maintain PowerBi dashboards tailored to the needs of the stakeholders.

  • Ensure PowerBi dashboards are user-friendly, visually appealing, and provide actionable insights.

  • Generate regular reports (PowerBi or Excel) and ad-hoc analyses as required.

  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data used in analyses and dashboards.

  • Implement data governance best practices to maintain high data quality standards.

  • Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights and provide detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings effectively.

(Technical) Guidance and Training:

  • Provide technical support for PowerBi and other data analytics tools.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve any PowerBi data access, integration, and visualisation issues.

  • Actively guide and support colleagues in adopting and utilising data analytics tools and methodologies.

  • Enhance data literacy and promote a data-driven culture.

Collaboration with the Competence Centres:

  • Work closely with Competence Centres to understand their data needs and challenges.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data insights into the ZDHC Guideline development processes.

  • Evaluate the impact of ZDHC Guideline development initiatives on data accuracy, quality and compatibility and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

  • Assisted in the development of ZDHC Guidelines by providing data recommendations.

  • Support in data analysis to align data perspectives within the annual impact reports and the KPIs set in the ZDHC 2030 Impact Strategy.

Documentation and Continuous Improvement:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of data sources, methodologies, and processes.

  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in data analytics and visualisation.

  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance data processes and tools.

Required Skills

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, MBA, computer science or related field.

  • At least 5 years of experience in business and data analysis or a related field.

  • Good understanding of data administration and management (collection, analysis, distribution, etc.).

  • Experience with the Business Intelligence tool PowerBi and SQL.

  • Proficient in using analytic tools and techniques such as data gathering and analysis, spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel), flow-charting and process diagramming.

  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.

  • Excellent documentation and process mapping skills.

  • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.

  • Familiarity with iterative development and understanding of Agile principles.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire diverse partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment.

  • Ability to manage projects, develop project plans and monitor performance.
Prefered Skills
  • Experience with or exposure to technical data sets within the textile or chemical industry is a plus.
